Green Bean Dog

Green Bean Dog was created while living in San Francisco, CA. My true inspiration came from our loyal
and trusted Chesapeake Bay Retriever for 13 wonderful years, Ruppert.

Founder, Susie Troutner studied Fashion Merchandising while attending Colorado State University. Shortly after graduation, Susie headed west to California and began her career within the fashion industry. Susie has had an exciting 30 years within the industry. She has worked for such companies as, Nordstrom, Banana Republic, Tommy Bahama, Union Bay Sportswear, PetSmart, Sundance Catalog and many others that have given Susie her talent and skills to now own and design for Green Bean Dog, "where dogs go green with style".

Susie's love for dogs began at an early age. There was Rags: Labrador mix, Nikolas: Husky, Sam: Beagle, Sandy: Beagle/Labrador mix, Princess: Husky/Australian Cattle mix and Ruppert: Chesapeake Bay Retriever. As for her passion for fashion, this all started with a pair of Go Go boots at the age of 5. Susie currently resides in Santa Barbara, Ca with her son and husband.
